cant get darwin to load in QMB+
#1

Ive made a "none" mission to use for QMB+ using the Darwin map but QMB+ refuses to load it, I get a "wrong target selected"

I definately do have the custom map entered in conf.ini : Custom29=NTL_Darwin_Small

The mission is located in my QMB+ "Quick" folder locate in "MODS" : J:\Ubisoft\IL-2 Sturmovik 1946\MODS\QMBPlus\Missions\Quick

I tried copying the file to J:\Ubisoft\IL-2 Sturmovik 1946\Missions\Quick but that did not work either

Can someone take a look at it and see why it doesnt work please?

Make sure you have four flights of four planes (any planes doesn't matter) per side (red/blue) and that the flights are "Russian" for red, and "Germany" for blue. I'm not sure if you can use Japanese for the blue flights, but you can change them to any nationality within QMB before running the mission.

Neil has it right on the .mis file itself. You need four flights on each side; pane type and number don't matter, as long as they show up as Russian and German.

In the .mis file it should like this

[Wing]
r0100
r0101
r0102
r0103
g0100
g0101
g0102
g0103

(with specific waypoints for each flight)

Not as you have it ...

[Wing]
75SquadronRAAF03
ja0100

Also, don't assign a specific seat to the player, he will always be the leader of flight 1 for whichever side you're flying (r0100 or g0100).

Check with EasyRider, he may already have a full set of QMBPlus missions for the Darwin map.

You've obviously got the line in conf.ini okay as you can select Darwin. Is your line in the all.ini in the mapmods folder okay i.e. it refers to exactly the right mapname and load filename (which I don't have in front of me right now)?

I can confirm that I have Darwin up and running in QMB+ so can check later to see what I have in the all.ini file if you're still having no joy.

By the way my missions files are in the main game folder in IL-2 Sturmovik 1946\Missions\Quick not in the MODS folder.
