ed_m01 is twice the size of map_h,
ed_m02 is the same size as map_h,
ed_m03 is half the size of map_h.

Is this any help

map will load just fine even with just two ed files ( specified in load.ini) , but do look at some default map files ( it is always the best reference )

in any case please make them as 256 indexed color cos it does decrease loading time drastically

I only use one file, the size of map_h, indexed like Fly_Zo said. Works just fine.

I've been trying to do this. What's the procedure for indexing or greyscaling a .tga in GIMP or PSP7? Every time I try to go to greyscale or reduce to 255 collours for my map_h, PSP7 tells me I have to stay at 24-bit.
