Ok, I have an odd one for you experts.
I've been running IL2 and all the flavors on a half-dozen PCs over the years with no problems. On my current computer, (ever since there were mods), the map mod didn't work right - I never had a border on the map. For unrelated reasons (graphics were messed up on Crysis/Farcry2), I updated the video drivers (X1600 ATI). This fixed my other games and works fine on IL2, but when I go to the map, the game nearly locks up until I turn the map off again. Funny part is that the driver update made the map border show up like it should, but now the maps are unusable! Otherwise, everything works great. Any thoughts about things to try? I've got the x1600 at 1680x1050, perfect/max settings, and use the "ecranwide" wide screen UI mod, and of course UI 1.1
