I experienced a small difficulty while in the Battle for France sub campaign. In one of the missions, when attempting to load, an error would appear stating that a duplicate wing was found, with the following reference: ZG52_001. It followed by being dumped back to the main menu. DGenERROR.log was not generated.

I then fiddled with the latest generated .mis file, in \missions\campaigns\GB\DGenxxxx\, and found the duplicate entry. I deleted the entry, saved the file and it seemed to have solved the problem.

Is this a problem that you are familiar with? Is it a problem that could be encountered in stock DGen? I ask because I have not seen it before.

I just, again, wish to thank you for your efforts. (and Fly zo for that imba map) Being shelled while on the runway in France is hectic and its great fun to actually fly the SpitMkI. Now just the long wait to fight all the way through from 1940 to 1944 so I can get in the MkXIV.

Sorry I don't know about this problem of duplicate wing, very strange. Maybe Boelcke knows? Actually the sub-campaign you are playing is probably his work. In the read-me you can find who did exactly what for each sub-campaign.

Anyway don't be too worried about such minor issues, sometimes I also experience things I cannot explain with DGen, and there are some bugs in the .exe itself. I also noted that it does consume a lot of RAM and CPU resources in the background when you click "Apply" for instance, and if your PC is "tired" or overheating, it can result in more hangs.

I also remember in the past Ian Boys saying that sometimes DGen.exe hangs without any clear reason (in his read-me for NWE campaigns).

I have run your modded RAF ETO campaign, have Spit Mk I selected on the third camapign of the career. I have BOE, TLD and Kurland as well as the appropriate enjoyr patches in place, mapmods, shippack and object files loaded as well as wolfighter's gore v1.4. I loaded Channelfront mod AND RAF generic modded in that order. I have all the proper planes loaded in at least once so are avalable. Also running version 409b1m with UI 1.1 The career works fine through the first two campaigns in the Hurri Mk IIb until mission 8. When I go to apply the mission results, the game locks up and I get a program not responding error. I get out of the game and reenter to find no new mission or map for mission 9. Any suggestions or ideas on how to solve this would be most welcome.

Hi,

This happens sometimes; you need to restart the campaign by replaying the previous mission before you clicked apply. For that you need to use the trick explained at the end of my DGen debugging guide available at M4T. Here is the extract for you:

"There is one trick, which has been reportedly working for others: if your campaign crashes, simply edit the campaign.ini file in the crashed campaign folder within the Missions/campaign/NA concerned folder, and copy the last mission
