This could be fun to play with...

Been throwing around the idea of making a fantasy map for a while, if for no other reason than to waste some time haha.

Or maybe I could finish that Hawaii update I started a while ago... hmm Wink

We'll need a Grumman Goose and a "Cutter's Goose" skin too, if we get more fantasy islands (like Bora Gora, Taga Taya or the many other ones). Wink

Great looking Cloyd. What is the height of that mountains?

I am working on something similar (with Fly_zo's help), but not just fantasy island, I snitched few island here and there around the world and made a sort of archipelago.

Will show it later, dont want to steal thread.

Thanks Avala.

Those mountains are about 1500m high abave sea level. That's actually Tahiti. I made a very small Tahiti map, and the elevation got exaggerated by about 2.5 times. (It's not my fault! Blame KevinP! )

It's a bizarre island, I love it.

P.S. Feel free to steal this thread, it will probably be dead after this post anyway.

Well, it resembles much to Tahiti. I have discovered that Clockwatchers corectional curve for height, while it is accurate gives a bit wrong look. What I did? I aplied CW curve in microdem, and then give my map H a boost of plus 30 in brightens in photoshop, and then aplied blur some 3-4 times, and the result is very good. Look is more natural.

But that looks very non IL2 like but resembles on real Tahiti:
