Request: Fisher P-75 Eagle

Hi.
I found a very interesting Plane.
The Fisher P-75 Eagle.
The General Motors P-75 Eagle was a fighter aircraft for which the Fisher Body Division of General Motors Corporation in September 1942 submitted a proposal to meet a United States Army Air Forces requirement for a fighter possessing an extremely high rate of climb. The proposal was for an aircraft that used the most powerful liquid-cooled engine then available, the Allison V-3420 (essentially a pair of 12 cylinder Allison V-1710 engines mated to a common crankcase), and components from existing aircraft. Only eight XP-75s and six P-75As were built before the program was cancelled.

This aircraft has been requested several times and has never been taken up. To be honest there are a lot of aircraft that were used operationally and had large production runs that are still missing from the sim and more than likely these will take priority

Sorry but I see too many request for planes that have had little or no production at all!!!

I think that the only planes with little or no production can be the late war project to fill the gap in the 1946 to 1950 era (like the Me P 1099 and so on)!!

I agree, the earliest prototypes of the P-75 were not particularily pleasing to the eye. Subsequent versions looked quite a bit better, though. They would be good escorts for 1946 B-29/B-36 campaigns.

The P-75 was considered a failure. I think that efforts towards making an uber long range fighter should be devoted to the British Hornet F.1 or the American P-82B.
