lol yeah we can take some hot rodded p-51s or zero's thru there! no chance we're getting those red bull racers

But they will have to be that kind of objects that can't kill you if you fly into them. IRL they will only let teh air out.

Hi all:

I have some missions set up flying my trusty LA-7 using smoke (whatever-it-is) - the column that looks like Marge Simpson's hairdo. One problem with it is that when I fly through it there is no damage and in some cases I can't tell if I've hit it or not. So, with that in mind, what I've been doing is fly the course both ways as per the rules, cut a track on it, then score the run after.

A possible fix would be to have one of the chimneys set to destruct when hit but leave no damage to the plane. I'm not even sure that can be done but would be better than having to fly the course twice - once for the run and the second time watching it on the track.

Great days all.

Its not big job to make 4-5 similar courses in FMB. Just select them and copy few times so you dont even have to restart the mission to fly the track again.

Hi KG64:

I'm sorry, I was being clever when I said I have to fly the course twice. What I meant was, I fly the course then have to watch the track to see if I fouled any of the obstacles; thus "flying the course twice."

It would save time if I knew I'd hit one of the obstacles and could land then refly the couse after the repair.

As a side note on this: I've found that flying the La-7 requires a course cosiderably larger than if I fly, say, the I-16. On the other hand, I can still fly the course faster and even do outside barrel rolls to line myself up for the next set of obstacles.

Great days all.

Hi there.... I've been developing pylons for Red Bull Air Race.... but not without trouble....I haven't managed yet to insert the object
in IL2... one like this:

I have correct scale, pivot axis orientation and msh file seems to be ok, but it refuses to appear in FMB+
I can send it to any of the "experts" to check what's wrong.

I've already posted about that in the maps section.... any help would be greatly appreciated.

Any ideas.... ???? Maybe a matrix thing ( I'm totally noob with that, but the worst is that I've found no guide about buildings ).

Red Bull pylon with 20 meters height ( as real ones ) in game.... still there's a lot of work
to make all types, I'll keep updating progress.
