WARNING:

This mod works with moded version of Il2 4.09, so you need to patch Il2 or use one of the existing mods as basic mod. If you have sound mod you are ready to use QMB Mod. If you didn't upgraded your game from 4.08 you can still use QMBPlus but you will not be able to play on new maps.

=============================================================================================================================

USING QMB MOD

In QMBMod you are getting new pack of missions for QMB. They are in Files/Missions/Quick folder.

Every map in QMB have 12 possible missions. Names of missions are made of name of the map and description. For example here are all names for Kuban map.

KubanRedNone00.mis
KubanRedArmor00.mis
KubanRedBridge00.mis
KubanRedAirbase00.mis
KubanRedScramble00.mis
KubanRedStrike00.mis
KubanBlueNone00.mis
KubanBlueArmor00.mis
KubanBlueBridge00.mis
KubanBlueAirbase00.mis
KubanBlueScramble00.mis
KubanBlueStrike00.mis

In this pack, every new map have Blue and Red None missions, you select them by chosing target None in QMB .Naturaly if you choose Axis you play one of the Blue missions for that map and if you select Allies you will play one of the Red missions for that map.

If you want to add other missions, just make them in FMB give them correct name and put them in Files/Missions/Quick folder, don't forget to add new entries in filelist.txt

IMPORTANT: Slovakia,Ardennes, New Guinea and NWEurope maps have full set of missions, original QMB maps comes with None,Armor,Bridge & Airbase missions. Rest of the maps is coming with only None missions for Red and Blue.

============================================================================================================================

CUSTOM MAPS

In this version you can add new maps in QMB. To do that you have to add new section in the end of your conf.ini file.

Example:
[quick]
Custom0=NWEurope

When you add this in conf.ini you will enable NWEurope map in QMB ( See CustomMaps.tga ). Name of the map can be anything you want. You can call map DOG if you want. Important is that you make missions for your map with correct names.
If name of the map is DOG than mission names should have following format:
DOGRedNone00.mis
DOGBlueNone00.mis
etc.

In this pack, NWEurope, MTO and Bessarabia are made as an example for adding custom maps, NWEurope comes with full set of missions while Bessarabia and MTO comes with None mission. For better understanding how QMB works you can replace NWEurope in conf.ini with some other name (for example: Test), rename mission names to match that new name( TestRedNone00.mis etc.) and corect filelist.txt.

If you do that and than go to QMB you will have map called Test, when you try to play that map you will see that you are again playing at NWEurope map, that's because you have to change mission file to play mission on different map.

So map names in QMB doesn't call real map, they just call mission with corresponding name. If you want to play Test map in some other scenary you have to make mission on some other map, let's say Murmansk and save it as TestRedNone00.mis , if you try to play Test map now, you will play it on Murmansk instead of NWEurope.

There are two important things when adding new maps, in "quick" section, you must start with Custom0 and than increase numbers by one for every next map. With maps from this pack it should look like this:
Custom0=NWEurope
Custom1=MTO
Custom2=Bessarabia
etc.

Second thing is that you must have RedNone00 mission for new map, if that mission is missing some people experienced problems.

MAKING MISSIONS FOR QMB

You make missions for QMB just like you would do any other mission, you can even have take off if you want.

Only thing that is important is that you enable four flights per side. As an example for take off mission in QMB you can take a look at Scramble missions.

If mission making is too complicated for you than you should check for new mission packs which I plan to make in future.

=============================================================================================================================

Customizable Situations

This is new option that replace B'n'Z option from last QMB. This option have name Diff. (See AltitudeDifference.tga) there are couple of preset altitudes but it is possible to write any altitude in the box. It works in combination with Situations. When you set Situation None both sides starts at same altitude.

If you choose Situation Advantage than with setting in Diff. box you are chosing how much higher(in meters) you will be than your opponent. If you take Situation Disadvantage than Diff. sets how much higher your opponent will be.

=============================================================================================================================

EDITABLE ALTITUDE

You can enter any altitude you like now ( See CustomAltitudes.tga).

=============================================================================================================================

NEW TARGET TYPES

Two new options added, Scramble and Strike (See NewMissionTypes.tga), you can try them on Slovakia,Ardennes, New Guinea and NWEurope maps.
In adition to that you can have custom target types (See CustomTarget.tga). All you need is to type new target name in box, add mission with correct name in folder with other QMB missions and make entry in filelist.txt. As an example you can try Norway map with target Test (See CustomTarget.tga). Based on that you can make other types of mission ( ShipStrike, CityBomb, etc.)
