I'm not sure this is posted in the right forum, but i observed something strange with the contrails from heavy bombers. I'm useing HG&Potenz ultimate smoke and fire, in case that makes a difference. I'm playing the "Hells Angels" B17 campaign by Stiboo, and it's great. The problem I noticed is that the bomber contrails seem to be comeing from the horizontal tail stabilizer instead of the engine nacelles. Strange indeed! Has anenoy ever noticed something like this? Any ideas on what it could be from? Thanks for any help you could provide.
Im not sure of the specifics of what you are saying. but if you look on contrails they do not start right at the engine they are 5 to ten yards behind the engine. Look at pictures of B-17s etc or up when an airliner is going over.
There is a bug in the origanal game that puts contrails on some aircraft in weird places, some are even next to the plane rather than behind, all attempts to fix it
have failed as far as i know.

Thanks for the replies guys. I'm sorry if I was nonspecific in my description befor. I'm saying that for example, if you were to view a B17 from below, the contrails start at the tail fins. I didn't realize the contrails in reality started further back from the engines :oops: , but to start at the tail fins looks funny IMO. I did hear about buggy contrails in the past, but didn't realize the problem still exists. Thanks for the help
