Just another IL2 Video
#1

I made this one a while ago and have now decided to share it with anyone who wishes to see it.

THIS video is still unmodded, but I have since modded the crap out of my game and am already working on another video of similar nature.

Enjoy!

I actually wanted to embed it here, but wasn't exactly sure how to do that. Every forum appears to be different..[/url]

Glad you liked it! Smile
And to answer your questions:

First I save the tracks from my flights in game (you know, it always asks you if you want to save the 'track' when you're done with a mission or scenario), then I load up fraps and watch the tracks in game and record clips. It often requires me to watch the tracks several times before I have the shots that I want to use. And lastly I use Adobe Premiere to fuse the clips into a single video and to add music to it.

You can get fraps for free, with the limitations of only being able to record 30 seconds at a time. And I suppose you could use Windows Movie Maker instead of Premiere. I'm thinking the principles are the same with both programs.

Hopefully that helps you Smile

redarrows,
GIMP is for pictures and so. But not for videos. If you want to make epic rendered screenshots, then gimp is good. For vidos its useless.

Try the Fraps for free screen captures (http://www.fraps.com/). It's shareware, but with a free test version, with which you can capture pieces of up to 30 secs of film. Better, because you also have a story board available, is eg. something from the MAGIX series - but you'll have to buy it. However, it doesn't cost the world...
