I have not tried this new HSFX 4.1 but I'm afraid I wont be able to change default aircraft skins with this new mod.
So far I have been successful using VP_SKINMOD,.. but I fear If I install HSFX 4.1 I'll lose that option..
What are the benefits of HSFX 4.1 over UI 1.2 ?

In your root folder, create a "mods" folder if you don't have one, and paste your "skinmod" folder in it. It should work (it works for me).

Yep that works for me too! As to the benefits of 4.1 it simply loads much faster than 1.2 due to it being in sfs files now. Also it's easier to get on the same page as servers using CRT2 by enabling and disabling mods in JSGME.

by the way - do I have to install 4.0 BEFORE installing 4.1?


also with the game updates - must I install 4.08m as well or can I just install 4.09 and that's it..
(I figured 4.09 is almost 3x as large as the previous update and it has everything 4.08m has.. so I might not need to install the old one, but i fear i need both.
