Teutonic Knights

Yes, the order of the Teutonic Knights. It would be a pretty awesome skin to have, maybe for a BF-109 or a 190.
They were a German order of Knights that fought in the crusades, and frankly, for the most part they have ceased to exist. However, there are still chapters here and there. I am sure, some pilot painted a Teutonic Order Coat of Arms on his fights.

Their colors were Black, White and Gold

So, can some one skin this for me. Honestly, i would, but i am horrid at skinning.

Thanks Guys

Your gonna have to tell the skinners what format you want it in. Which colour do you want to be dominant and what aircraft Bf 109E, F, G, K?

I'd like to try it, but I don't know the colors you want it to be in Big Grin

i was thinking the colors of the order

White, Black, and bits of gold.

The model of the 109 does not matter, but preferably a late one.

Format dose not matter as well

Firstly, whilst I can see your enthusiasm, you have to realise that an aircraft roundel is supposed to be an easily recognised symbol, not a perfect copy of heraldry. I would use Hungary as a stop gap. This is a subject that's come up before, concerning the Confederate States. People generally want the battle flag painted all over their aeroplanes without considering how complex a symbol it is and how long in practice it would take to paint. Okay, maybe that's not quite such a consideration when dealing with fantasy, but for practical reasons a 'real' Teutonic Order fighter isn't likely to paint that symbol in its entirety.
Of course I failed utterly to make people see reason before, so I guess I'll fail this time too

You do realize that the pilot who would have painted this on his plane would have just painted part or all of the shild on the side of the fuselage (Possibly near the cockpit) and not paint the entire airplane in these colors?

Hows this.... I took a skin from "Skunk", added some markings and your shield. Unfortunately lost detail in shrinking the shield. The skin is mostly dark grey yellow and I added the whit spinner.

All credit should go to Skunk for the great skin.

For people who don't mind fiddling with files, here's a Teutonic Knights squadron add-on for offline play. Doesn't need Forgotten_Countries as such, but UP/HSFX users might find this awkward because the required files are hidden. Recommend installing Forgotten_Countries_Lite from www.sas1946.com as an active mod which will provide the files you need to edit.
