Missing Dead.msh and dead.sim (Problem Solved!)
#1

At the moment I'm busy with repainting several buildings. So far so good but sometimes you got stuck with something like in this case... :-?

I repainted the Crimea Sudak Fortress (see image) and used the SFS extractor + updated filelist to extract them. Unfortunately no Dead.msh and dead.sim so after a bombardment nothing happens.
Is there an easy way or something like that to get this .msh and sim file? Because I really don't understand this kind of files and don't know how to make them myself.

Shouldn't the Dead.msh and .sim be the exact opposite of the live.msh and .sim?

I'm not quite sure but from my understanding you have to make a Dead version of the mesh in a 3d program and make a relating dead.sim file.

If the objects do not get destroyed in the normal game then you will just have to make .msh and .sim your self.

Does your updated filelist have the entries for these files? If not it won't extract them. Edit the filelist to contain the file and its path and all should work Smile

Lol! I was thinking the same thing this morning but I couldn't imagine it would be that simple. But I gave it a try and added these two lines + some others and it works now. Big Grin
Thanks man!
