.Png to bmp.
#1

I made myself a California ANG skin in inkscape and the only file type you can save it as is a .png .I renamed the file to a bmp placed it in the folder and well nothing showed up.The file is larger than all the other skins but I really can't see the difference.I even tried converting it in ''Paint'' but no luck in that either.Need help.I don't have photoshop on my computer so I had to use Inkscape. Can't find my Photoshop disc. Try using Bright.

Make a folder on your desktop and call it "Bright". Put the batch file in the folder.

Now convert your PNG file to BMP format then place it in the "Bright" folder with the Bright batch file.

Run the Batch file and then see if your conveted PNG/BMP file has been reduced in size to 1MB.

IL2 1946 will not recognize any BMP files for acft skins that are above 1mb.

After you do that, place your newly compressed BMP file in the skin folder you wanted it for and see if it shows up.

Do you know how to post a pic of the PNG so we can take a look at it?

Are you using a .PSD template to make this? If so, you may want to go ahead and D/L GIMP instead of using inkscape.
