HSFX Catapult crew seems to be on Strike..

I have a perfectly operating HSFX install except for one thing- I can't seem to get the catapult up & running( makes F-9-F takeoff nearly impossible... )I'm guessing that it is a problem in a JSGME or a conflict in Mods...both tha catapult mod & Zuti mods seem to cause problems if I activate them.I've tried to activate & deactivate different mods with no result.
Am I just forgetting to add something or what? Any ideas? I don't want to mess up this install .
BTW It works fine in the UP install...

If you are using HSFX and JSGME, you should not try to have both the Zuti mod and the catapult mod enabled at the same time. Did you try using just the Zuti mod? It already contains the catapult mod and trying to enable the catapult mod as well might be causing it to "cancel out".
Two other things to consider; Not all carriers in Il2 are equipped with catapults- the old Saratoga Class ships don't have them. The other thing is that it is very important to taxi to just the right spot, within a few feet of the catapult, before setting chocks. You'll know you're all right if the plane you are in "hops" into position.

Murph am trying to get off deck in an F-9-F mission.
Will try as you suggest but I have had problems with both Zuti & Catapult mods freezing game in the past & have generally not enabled either of them...
I have a Zuti friction Mod in Mods & I wonder if that could be doing me wrong?

Try going with just HSFX history mod, "Effects" (either high or low) and Zuti version 1.12 and see if that works. If it does, you can try enabling mods one at a time until you nail the culprit.

MURPH - FIRST MANY THANKS FOR THE SIMPLE ADVICE...IT WORKED - HERE'S HOW...:
I'd been using the North korea Map based Bridges of Tokori mission as my test ...over & over with no luck- Panthers just crashed in the water...so I did as you suggested ( started with minimums in JSGME,) & got a freeze on the mission- this I knew was a problem with Static .ini & 3do install on this map...so I reinstalled it.tried it with the Zuti mod I had (1.01 I think) & got a CTD( my Zuti mods have never quite worked ...don't know why...) I disabled that & instead activated the o1_carrier Mod & tried things again...this time the catapult worked & no freeze up! So now I'll add one mod at a time in JSGME patiently as you suggest...the hard part is over !
