I'm having a hard time making up my mind as whether to patch up to 4.10, or hold off until the mods are updated and compatible. What are some of you guys doing?
Deutschmark Wrote:The best thing is to make a new install of IL2 and patch it to 4.10
BUT keep your 4.09, then start adding to your 4.10 all things that
Are updated to 4.10 and at some point in time your 4.10 will come
To be what your 4.09 is now and some time after will more then likly
Go passed your 4.09.

If you have a modded 4.09, keep it.
Create a new install, or if you have a clean 4.09, use that to patch to 4.10.
I have the room on my hard disk, so soon I will have these IL2:1946 installs:
-4.09 clean (Backup)
-4.09 modded (JGSME)
-4.10 clean (Backup)
-4.10 modded (JGSME?)
Deutschmark Wrote:NO!, make a new install of IL2 patch it up to 4.10I have the Steam version of IL2 (I believe it is 4.09m). This is my second download because of problems with trying to Mod. I was following instruction found here and elsewhere. With a Steam version (goes to C:\\Programs (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\il 2 etc......
Then make it modable with a Mod Act and start adding
Mods to it and one day it will be like your 4.09.
But Keep your 4.09 so you can still have all wile you
Build up your new 4.10.
Here is a link to help you with modding your 4.10 once
You have it all installd;
