A triebflugel request. can someone PLLLLLLLLEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ make 1.And im well awere its physicly impossible in real life, but as someone said once ''the he-lerche is also physicly impossible to.''

Also if a modder made it for fs-2004 then a modder can for il2 Big Grin

Hein lerche has counter rotating blades; it wasn't physically impossible, just not practical because of cost, too hard to land, and very uncomfortable.

triebflugel doesn't have anything counter-rotating to keep it from a wild spin, and the IL-2 people like to stick with physically accurate

it is a cool idea, just not probable

EDIT: triebflugel rotor is free-spinning, so no torque

Why don't you give it a try? All the tutorials and links to the necessary tools can be found here.

as I understood it, the Triebflugel WAS physically possible, in theory at least.
Because the rotor blades housed their own driving forces [=motors on their ends], there was no torque generated via the main rotor "shaft" - which was not a drive shaft at all, but merely a fixed swivel point.
Hence there was no problem with counter-rotation of the fuselage.
Of course, in practical terms, it may well have been impossible, especially at the time. But a fun idea.
So - do go ahead and make one! I'll fly it .

FS2004 is almost open source compared to Il-2. Nothing has been encrypted. Everything, including the flight model, can be edited easily.

You're quite new, but imagine how many times this has been asked Wink

Flightgear is absolute, open source, you even have UFOs, i hope i can get that game running one day

Well the least you could do is make this a request, not a single sentence wish.

Why don't you take the time to gather some information , diagrams etc, or like Bear said, the tutorials are plenty here and at SAS, 3d modelling is not really that hard if you are persistent enough and want to learn, atleast in my experience anyway, and there are plenty of tutorials on youtube and forums to get help from. And the time it takes to model an aircraft on ones own, would take months not to mention the learning curves and Real Life interruptions.

OMG! Confusedhock: That's what happens when a jet engineer and a helicopter engineer have a drinking contest! Tongue

I'd rather bail out every single day than trying and land that thing! :OO
