Has anyone noticed how long it takes paratroops to jump from cargo planes in IL2? I'm assuming that the troops are actually 'bailing out' and therefore the program is modelling the time it takes for them to scramble desperately toward an exit. But thats not what happens in real paradrops. The troops are out the door quickly and very close together, or their unit is strung out on arrival and very vulnerable to ground action. Is there someway of speeding up the exit of paratroops to make the drops more realistic?

to make them drop "realistically" you would need to put the chutes cord out of the plane and open the door
