Lovely pics, and nice to see my skin being used in such a nice landscape.
Hans, that scheme was flown by Jurgen Harder of JG53, and whilst researchers aren't fully sure what the marking signifies, it's believed to be a modification of the Technical Officer Stab marking.

Okay, yhea, I'll accept that one Cannon. It looks like it too. I wonder if the guys doing the painting got the plane with the crosses already on it, then went to paint it up for Herr Harder, stuck the chevron on...And ran out of room!
