Curtis SC-1
#1

Me and a friend are going to attempt a frankenplane just to see what we can do as a first attempt at a mod. The Curtis SC-1 Seahawk scout aircraft. We chose this aircraft because it seems like we would have most of the parts needed and would be comparatively easy to build. Seeing as this is just an attempt to figure it all out, we will probably be on here looking for some help as far as animations and the glass parts to the canopy go. I hope you guys will offer us the correct information needed when we ask. Thank you

Already needing help... Seeing as I'm about as proficient at mod making as a rock is at verticle takeoff... I have figured out how to view the objects, but how do I move the parts into place, I'm currently working on the right wing

If you don't have any proficiency at all (as you've said yourself) you're better off starting with something a little less ambitious, otherwise you're going to be asking for help every single step of the way.

Indeed. 109Dude, if you're wanting to learn the art of Frankenplanes, or modding, its highly recommended you try smaller projects first... I would suggest a minor variant change to begin with, rather than an overall new aircraft.

Secondly to that, AAA policy and rules forbid open help for these acts, find yourself a modder to help you and take it privately...

I never thought of that, eh, I guess I'll work on a few small variations to get it right first, then start making this whole plane. Maybe making a new tail for something, then I'd be able to have atleast a general knowledge of what to do...

I know nothing of modding, or how easy it is,
but as a start, maybe you could get a sand filter and bomb racks unther the Hurricane Mk-IIc, the filter from the Mk-IId, and the bomb racks from the IIb, so we have a Tropical Mk-IIc?

In my vieuw, as a noop on all this great work, it seems rather easy, comparred with an entire new aircraft. Besides, a lot of people would like it, both for Asia and Afrika.

Just an idear. If I'm wrong on anything, don't shoot me over it please Smile
As I said, I'm just a noop

Cheers, and good luck with whatever you are going to make,
Joppe
