Some qmb mission maps crash and the blame is the Open GL=Opengl32.dll according to vista crash log.
any ideas?

You need updated video drivers. I had the same problem.
Still get the Open GL video failure every once in a while, but mostly fixed.
Since you're running an ATI card, you may be out of luck as ATI has never done Open GL very well.

cool thank you. I haven't updated the drivers since its such a new computer and I'm used to nvidia.
I'll look into it.
Did you get that 100% hang problem ever on map load?

No. Only during game play, but as you can see, I'm using Nvidia, not ATI. Your other option may be to switch to Direct X for game play instead of Open GL. I do know that the Open GL problems with this game stem from Vista x64 drivers that aren't quite right from both graphics companies. Nvidia has just been harder at work, as usual, to fix the problem.

thats a lotta ram, i will tell you that!
Actually it is great for speed. x64 OS. Also, I'm using only 4gb for the system to use as ram. The other 4gb are designated to a ram drive that I then trick Windows into using as the Swap file. This leaves all swaps happening in memory vs. the Hard Disk. Making the system a whole heck of alot faster overall with regards to r/w speeds in the swap.

You need to get a program called "RamDisk".
You setup a batchfile on your boot drive and allocate part of your ram to the RamDisk.
Boot your system and then goto performance options and set virtual memory to the size of the Ramdisk and tell it to use the Ramdisk for the virtual memory file.
Viola!
