mod compatability

i just DL,ed Il-2 1946 from the "steam" platform...will the mods work with this version?? i noticed that there was problems reported with DL,ed versions from ubi-soft....thanks

Steam is great because u never need any cd/dvd's of having to download setup files, but! and it's a BIG but! LOL! the games have to stay in the steam folder structure. D2D does it with dowmloads of set up files which means there's no specific folder structure. With il2 dvd the installed floder can be moved to any location and still play. Can't do that with Steam.

Just my 2 cents worth.

DL,ed the "ubi" fix and it works...thanks

when i click on the desktop icon ,steam launches and then Il-2 will launch..after i DL,ed the mod installer i copied the lauch icon from one of those and put a shortcut on my desktop...when i click on that now,,just Il-2 launches and not Steam...

only other "Steam" game i have is "red orchestra"...i,m gonna try to do the same with it..

Man, that's great! I'm glad it didn't give you to much problems. So how about the mods? It's like a brand new game with a lot of familiar faces!

still learning how everything operates...one problem i have though.....i tried to put the "bombs away" mission in the missions folder..when it starts i get the horizon,engine sounds and nothing else..it,s like it is just stuck there till i "esc" out...trying to figure that out yet...any help??please?
