Since I've got my Il-2 running again, my brand new toy has been the Me-262. This shark shaped Daemon was tearing through the B-17's.
But after striking one B-17 the top gunner had some very clean shots straight into my right side engine. Much to my displeasure, my engine was now burning like a wick.
BUT I HAVE TO KEEP FIGHTING! I have to stop the factories being bombed, so I take a low swooping turn away from the bomber formation and gain some height before I ran it back down into the utter chaos and crossfire. I lined up the slim-lined body of the 262 onto the left wing of a already wounded B17 and I fire all I could into him. Needless to say the B17 was torn into pieces and I had to take a quick dive to avoid collision.
After my near miss, I see the lead planes ahead, they had somehow been isolated from the main formation and I saw my moment of oppertunity.
I lined the streamlined beast with the lead plane and squeezed the trigger, nothing happened. I tried my secondary weapons, still nothing, I was completely empty and with nothing between me and my prey.
With nothing between me and the Lead, no ammo to use and a raging fire still in my engine, I have little choice if I was to stop or atleast slow down the lead flight.
With a mighty crash and jolt upon the plane, I had rammed the the huge colossal bomber.
I watched as the dorsal fin of the B17 was torn and twisted to pieces of tiny debris that now fell down beyond the clound line. Meanwhile something caught my eye catching up to me on my tail, MY ENGINE!
I limped on as i watched the lead B17 drop out of lead point, but now with one engine missing, would I keep it straight and level in order to get back home. Course I will, after all 'I am TheFox'
