1/72 Bf-109G
#1

Hi all, I've just discovered this piece of the forum. I'm a enthousiast moddeller to. ?Is moddeller the right word?

Right. I'm building for more than 6 years now, and I've build many models, Only in the scale of 1/72. Some very nice models in 1/32, such as the P-47D.

Here's my new project, a Bf-109 Gustav. It has gunpods under the wings, and I think it'll be on a diorama together with a Ju-87 B2/R2 Stuka Tongue Wink

Here are some pics, sorry for the bad quality, but the only thing I had right now was my mobile phone

the status right now:

Hi!

Ju87 B or R is a '41 a/c instead Bf109 G is a '43 a/c.....the gap age between them are too big for me....

Have a good work on the Gustav!!!

True, although I'm fairly sure that early war aircraft continued to soldier on right to the very end. The Hs123's used over Italy in '44 are the stuff of legend Tongue

Good luck with the project leopard! May I suggest, if youre trying to get a good solid line between the upper and lower suface colours, that you use some tape to mask it with? I use special tape made by Tamiya that gets good contact without damaging the paintowrk, but any household tape will work quite OK.

here are a few more pics lads:

As Brophmeister said, I;ve used masking tape this time:

Very nice striping

O, and I hear someone saying: 'I know that paintscheme', or that will soon happen, so yes, you will know this scheme from IL-2. I use the Bf-109 G6 $Gerhard_Barkhorn scheme for this bird Tongue

As terminator asked, here is the box. The kit is from Academy, my first kit of it. The quality is good, but there are some space between some parts.

I said already that the paintscheme was from gerhard barkhorn, but nor really no. One of my moddelling mates came by and he said, I have just bought a book about the Bf-109, there are some fine paintschemes in. So, that's why it looks so!

I'll decalling the plane with the next model, so I have the mess only one time Tongue
This is the next model for the diorama:

I'm thinking of a refuelling dio, so if anyone knows a cheap german fueltruck, place the link (please from an european retailer)
