(Q) CoralSeaOnline1 Map - QMB Carrier start possible?
#1

Hi gents
I've got this question here, because while trying to set up an 'Airbase' mission on the CoralSea Online 1 map, I've checked that enemy flights should start from their associated carriers - I've put i 2 carriers per side, maybe thats an issue, not sure.
Basically, I want my team to airstart inbound to the enemy carriers, and have any enemy AC spawn on their carriers.
Anyway, the problem is that although the enemy flights are set to start on their carrier - takeoff waypoint, carrier checked as target, the enemy planes then spawn in the sea next to the carrier, as if i didn't assign the carrier as target. :!: :?:
Is this an issue with the Onhline version of the map? Should i rather use the regular Coral Sea map?
Or doesn't this method work for QMB missions? If not, why not? considering that 'Scramble' missions are possible... :?:
Any help, as always, would be much appreciated... 8)

Hi!

If you read in the last reply in QMB superpack someone had report that in QMB is impossible to t/o from carrier because the a/c spawn at sea , I can only suggest if have you try to delay the spawn few minutes after the carrier start to move?

cheers

Just carrying on a bit with this... a strange thing happened, i tried setting up an extra (5th) AI only flight for this CoralSea map, with the 5th flight starting from a carrier - can you believe, i went into QMB and tried it - with one enemy flight entered into the QMB, i started the mission, and = lo and behold - the 5th enemy flight spawned on the carrier!
I thought i was onto something, but i then tested it with no enemy flights in QMB, and instantly got the Corrupt Data File error....after changing it back to just 4 flights, i still get the error, so testing continues...(slowly 8) )
