QMBPlus missions: Slot, Singapore, Taranto
#1

Hi,
using FMB, I commited another minipack of QMBPlus missions. There are AI CV take-offs
and landing, players side-by-side off-runway takeoffs, CV landing. There are also torpedo
attacks, dive and level bombing, attack with rockets, ships sinking and more other eye
candies. The intention was to test less common possibilities in FMB, and to allow the
player to interact with actions of AI aircrafts, when both defending and attacking the
targets.
All missions are made in Red and Blue version, which are not simmetrical generally.
Mission names of "QMBPlus Maps" are: Slot, Singapore and Taranto. These names should be
added to conf.in file as usual. The last "QMBPlus Map" uses vol_ItalyAfricaGreece map
created by Redfox59, whom I should like to say thank you.
"QMBPlus Targets" are only None and Scramble, other tasks are inside the missions and the
player can choose them according to situation.
For deeper immersion into the missions Taranto it is recommendable to instal italian
voice pack which can be found on Mission4today. The Taranto missions use AI Ju-88-torp.,
which is in AAA U.I.ver. 1.1 .In this mission, B5N2 were used to simulate Fulmars, in RAF
marking of course. For playing of other missions, IL2 with AAA U.I. ver. 1.0 is sufficient.
All missions are ahistorical, just for fun. The missions are not too populated with objects
in order to allow use of PC's of moderate quality.
The Taranto missions use only very small part of vol_IatalyAfricaGreece map, so an idea
arose: can be part of such a large map cut out? It would help to decrease loading time of
the missions, an perhaps, fraps on middle quality PC's.

Thank you very much for your kind words. It is not too complicated to create the missions, you need only some idea on scenario and get a bit familiar with FMB, what is not at all hard.
See e.g.
http://www.il2-fullmissionbuilder.com/index.php

EDIT:
B5N2 were used to simulate not Fulmars, which were naval fighters then, but instead of Swordfish, yet inavailable in IL2.

after many years of building missions in the FMB I have only recently become interested in converting some of my best missions (Single/Coop) into QMB+ missions...
I have learned how to get them to work now......... and have found that.....
To allow people to download our QMB missions...and play them as we intended...with the correct a/c, numbers in a flight, loadouts, etc. then we must get the mission working to our satisfaction in the nQMB...then save the .quick file
Then when we offer the QMB mission for download we must also add the accompanying .quick file to be put in their il2/Quicks folder.

Well, I agree cordially with you!
In the near future I shall try to modernize my missions by newly available a/c and by quick files.
