How About an Air Racing Mission/Campaign
#1

Hello all,

Though IL2 is a WWII combat flight sim, I am wondering if a mission, or even campaign could be built as part of a glimpse into the world air racing circuit? Basically, set up a campaign where the player would jump into the role of a career pilot on a race circuit flying events at different locales around the world (maps). Tracks could be set up with aerial markers set with observation balloons or landmarks, and "mission success" is being first to cross the finish line. Course/laps could be set by waypoints. Of course, the online aspect would be cool to race against other real life players. Use of cut videos would be cool too highlighting action and the awards party scene!

All in all, the planes are in game now along with usable objects. Only element are creative skins for race planes though many are out there, and creatively scripting a campaign around a world race series.

May need to add some bikini models as part of the next "Infantry Mod" pack for use when taxing to the grandstand off the tarmac! Big Grin

PS: may be a fun campaign for the new Grand Canyon map, aka racing down in the canyon?!

I made for fun the I-16 CUP last year.

You can download it from my squad website :

It could be a good start for your project. ++
