I don't quite understand...plane entries in the air.ini can be in any order you wish, and they won't disappear. Are you certain there wasn't some other thing happening?
Absolutely positive. I simply placed the Yak 1 after the Yak 15 (the Yak 15 had appeared between the 1 and the 1bis) and the plane re-appeared. No idea why this should be so but I'll take the fix. The part I find strange is why the air.ini had rearranged. I'm sure that the order these planes appear in the file is now correct. Could you do me a favour and check yours to see where the Yak 15 (which appears to have caused the problem) is placed in your air.ini :???:
OK, I'll check when I get home tonight.
If you have ever run an A/C installer, that will alphabetize your air.ini, and in that case, the order might end up:
Yak-1
Yak-15
Yak-1B
...etc.
simply because, that is alphabetical order, but as I said, the planes can be in any order you want them to be in the air.ini without causing a problem, so that's why your situation is perplexing.
[Edit] Actually, just checked my modded dedicated server now by remote desktop, it has the order as above, the 15 is between the 1 and the 1B. I have never run an A/C installer on it, so that air.ini is whatever comes with the U.I.v1.1, and appears to be alphabetical.
Game machine is same:
Yak-1
Yak-15
Yak-1B
etc.
All show up in QMB, FMB, and hosted dogfight.
intriguing :!: I have used the installers a number of times and I did find the order to be the same as yours but the fact remains that until I changed the order (see above) I had no Yak 1--not in the QMB or the Single missions that I had in the USSR folder (I did have my bis missions). It is mysterious but I'm perfectly happy to have the came complete again. Thank you for your checking. If you discover anything else please pass it on to me. Mort 1
