hello everyone,

i had problems with my static.ini whci i sorted with the il-2 static.ini checker.
but i also want to install the effects spcial platinum edition. That would mean i would have to replace the file again causing problems or
change every object on it s own, a process which would take me weeks.

anybody know what to do?

download the free program SwiftCompare...which will allow you to see the differences between your static ini and the one which comes with the effects pack...then choose to copy the lines you want...and it makes a backup of your original too.

I simply replaced the UI static.ini with the one provided by the platinum effects mod and it seems to work fine. If you modified your static.ini in some way, then all bets are off.
