I have a different sound bug - I installed 4.09 absolutely fine and have been running it normally for months. However, I just installed the ace campaigns expansion pack to give me some extra campaigns and skins and now all my engine sounds are really messed up, in both 4.09 and 4.08. Basically, the engine note is either VERY quiet and/or cutting in and out when in the cockpit and looking forwards. When I look to the sides of the cockpit, the sound is normal again and when I look to the rear, it goes silent again. However, other sounds like radio chatter and gunfire are unaffected and work fine.... Outside veiw has hardly any engine noise from all angles.... Have tried fiddling with sound settings and unistalling aces campaigns add on pack AND deleting whole il2 file and reverting to my backup - no luck at all.
Please help, anyone!

Sorry to here that dude,I found that out along time ago.Never install those addons to your game folder let them install to your desktop that way you can go through them to see what you want.
