I used to play IL-2 online with friends using the mods and never had any problems with framerates and graphics maxed. I haven't played in a while due to RL obligations. I wanted to play again recently and even though the game runs fine in single player, the minute I log into an online game my framerates drop to 2 to 6 FPS. I reloaded windows XP, and have absolutley nothing except for the game and FS9 loaded on the PC and still the same problem. What's really odd is that it does the same thing in just the plain 4.08 unmodded game. I also have no problems going online and flying FS9. Any help would be appreciated.

I can recall people having this problem back in the pre-mod days, but not sure what the fix was, if any.
On older computers, sometimes this sort of thing might be due to IRQ conflicts, but I'm not sure if that is still possible.
Certainly, one of the first things you could try is update chipset drivers, if you haven't already. Back then, too, people would post their DXDiag for review, and maybe there is someone here who can spot something in that...worth a shot?

He mentioned something near the end about Leatrix Latency Fix, which might bear on your problem.
