well the name sums it up i guess. im just curious because for a breif moment i had them, but now any bomber i fly just gives me the same black window with a clean opening.. its irritating and i cant figure it out! have tried everything that ( I ) can think of.. has any one else had this issue?
Just wait a little, that happens to me too.
You have to fly straight and level for 30 seconds or so for the reticles to appear, and if you make movements that are too severe, you'll lose the crosshairs again because the bombsight has to reset itself and/or can't work at the angle you're flying at.
Best thing I've found to fix this is to add a hotkey for "Wing Leveler" in the controls menu. I hit that and the bomb sight cross-hairs come back...only problem is it doesn't allow you to turn...so you better be lined up with your target when you turn wing leveler on. It takes some getting used to.

That is the problem with the game default bombsight. If ou make any
kind of adjustmenets or quick turns or manuvers the bombsight will
disappear. However there is a Norden Bombsight Mod that works well,
however this mod works with USAAF heavy bombers. The B-17'/B-24/
B-25's. It was working in the B-29 till this last up date with HSFX 4.1.
here is the link to the Norden Bombsight Mod:
(The link is inoperative)
Like I said it only works with the USAAF Bombers, except for the B-29
for right now till they get that fixed and the A-20C. German bombers
will always be the default bombsight.
Hope this helps in some way. Just remeber not to make any sudden or
quick moves.
