Skinmod for HSFX or UP Update........
#1

If anyone is wondering on how to change their skins in UP2.0 or HSFX then all you need to do is the following for them to show up in your game....

1st. Make your skin mod folder exactly how you did it from this thread below. (Just like the old way)

(The link is inoperative)

2nd. Now once you have your skins in the correct folders then all you will need to do is figure out which nationality you need the skin for.
Example
If you need the U.S then the skin will have the following A-20G(USA) at the end of the folder's aircraft name.
If you want Italy then the skins folder will have MC-200_III(it) at the end of it.

Here is an example list for you guys to use a reference. So far I have had no problems with getting my skins to show up in game after I made the
correct nationality ending for the folder like the examples above. Good luck and have fun with this.....Salute

Can the same be done for the national markings?

An example would be the RN. Atlantic markings are different than Pacific and you get the PTO markings whenever you select RN regardless of the map or camouflage setting.

The problem lies with the aircraft slots.

If you look at the above list for say, the SBD-3, you will see:

SBD-3(USA)
SBD-3(Multi1)

However, if you look at a Russian or German bird, lets say the Mig3, you will see:

Mig3

Some planes have the multi slot and some don't. Examples that spring to mind of planes without the multi slot are:

A-20C
BlenheimI
BlenheimIV
BuffaloMkI
*All Russian Planes
*All German Planes
*Some Finnish Planes

Furthermore ... some planes have slots for more than one country, like the P-40:

P-40M(USA)
P-40M(Multi1)
P-40M(RNZA)

It gets very complicated ... there is also no real order to which planes are which ... Hope I helped, but I probably just gave you more questions than answers.

No Scharnhorst1943 you helped, but for anyone who wants to change their skin in UP 2.0 or HSFX, you will need to add the nationality text at the end of the folders, If the plane won't show up doing it the olde style way then just add the text to the folders. Also I am mainly talking about skins without markings on them cause if your like me who uses mat manager or any of the insignia mods then you will need to use blank skins. If you try it with markings on a perticaular plane then once you go online it will add other markings to the plane and will look out of place.

Once you get the hang of it and are familiar with how to change skins it becomes very easy to place a skin you want to use in the game.

Seriously?

Are you telling me that I can now have seperate skins for say, an Me-262 for germany and Japan?

Here is my example:
Currently, for the Me-262 folder, we just have the Me-262(Multi1). Inside that folder we have DESERT, WINTER, SUMMER skin folders.

So what you are telling me now is that in UP 2.0 (which I am running BTW) I can add a new folder called Me-262(Ja), and inside that folder have DESERT, WINTER, SUMMER skin folders in addition to the current Me-262(Multi1) folder. Is this correct? Meaning that now, for the same summer map, I can have different skins for the Me-262 under different nationalities???

Because my experience previously has been that the skin folders are what they are. They are hard-coded. I cannot myself add skin folders for each country for a given plane type and have them show up. If I am wrong and some great mod has been done for UP 2.0 let me know. But it has been my experience that if I add a new folder like above, then nothing comes of it and the same German skin shows up under the Japanese nationality in game menus in QMB.
