If you have HSFX then you will find them in root/files/com/maddox/il2/objects
and root/files/i18n

Installing mods like the Thunderjet and I don't have HSFX but therefore IL-2 Mods Mega Pack.

I have no knowledge about that Mod Pack.
The standard to stick with now is HSFX or UltraPack
If there is a MODS folder you will probably find the files under MODS/STD/.........
---- but like I say. Switch to HSFX or UP will make your modding life much easier ----- once you get through the initial learning curve.
