Weird game crash . Please help me.
#1

Hello fellow aviators

I'm using HSFX v4.1 and game crashes every time I'm flying on bombing mission. After me or AI drop bomb in couple seconds game crashes to desktop . I tried to reinstall everything but nothing changes . I tried to disable mods but nothing.. However ,when I'm dogfighting everything works perfect ! the problem occurs only on bombing missions ! I'm offline player so I'm not switching anything . i tried on my other computer , unfortunately the same problem . Then i thought that file is corruption or something and I downloaded HSFX Again.

Can anyone tell me how to find the source of problem?

I would also appreciate any suggestions.

this is my mods , I'm not using anything except this Mods!

So you tried to deactivate bomb effect mods? Did you try with clean 4.09 in JSGME?

I'm finding the same problem with hsfx so when i do bombing missions i disable all the mods that arent gonna be used, try stretching out your bomber stream so not to many bombs are falling at once, narrow your targets so that not to many buildings or whatever are burning and try choosing a map that isnt to detailed, for instance a 100 bomber raid on then channel maps is gonna cause your pc to retire in a cloud of smoke when the bombs start to fall.
The trouble is the work load that your pc has to cope with so try and think of ways to reduce this, use as few way points as possible, make sure that all your planes have cleared a waypoint before reaching the next, this way your pc is only dealing with one waypoint at a time, make sure that there is no action on a way point, no flak or fighters, keep them for between the way points and only either have flak or fighters at any one time not both together. Keep radio silence on as many planes as possible and take parachutes off most planes just leaving a few around you with them on for effect, all this is less for your pc to cope with (2 x B17's going down at once can produce 20 chutes) when you've dropped your bombs keep your course dead straight dont try to turn until all bombers have dropped their bombs and cleared the target area and then turn for home, also only very light flak at the target area for effect, none would be better, have your heavy flak leading up to the target but have it thin rght out before you reach the target. Another thing... any attacking aircraft that have already been engaged in action, dont send them to land, have their fuel tanks half full and send them to a far corner of the map, landing aircraft eats alot of memory especially if you're trying to land aircraft at several airfields. If you have a big bomber raid use only default skins with markings on or a single blank custom skin for all planes exept a few flights around you for visual effect, you could also take the labels off the aircraft so thats there is no writing on screen.
I hope these little tips help, just try and think of ways to reduce the workload on your pc and still have a great looking mission, i have built a hundred b17 bomber raid with 20 escorts and 40 enemy fighters plus heavy flak on cannons channel map and got it running smooth as a dream when to begin with i was having the same trouble as you are

So, you've tested with only the Hsfx History mod enabled?
BTW, the Hsfx History mod should be the FIRST mod you enable.
It looks like you have it third on the list.

Have you tried this with "Effects Low" enabled rather than "Effects High"?

Hi,

Too many bombers and too many bombs will make any version of IL-2 crash to desktop. In the Full Mission Builder, you can make some bombers empty, which might be all that you need.

If you are a Full Mission Builder, you can compensate for lack of bomber load by placing objects such as ammo vehicle columns, tanker trucks, and tanker railroad cars inside buildings. When a bomb destroys a building - BAM! - big fireworks which destroy nearby buildings, too.

Effects should be low for many bombers. You can go into your conf.ini file and enforce this with Effects=0
