Problem with SFS Extractor
#1

I recently installed a new Norton security package, and its first act as the guardian of my PC was to decide the SFS extractor was a security hazard and terminate it with extreme prejudice.

Anyway, I reinstalled the SFS extractor and sorted out the problem with Norton, but now when I try to extract files the program only manages to obtain some of the files.

For example, when I run it on the fb_3do19.sfs file the extractor proudly reports it has found 105 files out of 8860 available, or 1%. Other files produce similar results, and if I try the same file twice it will always come back with the exact same number of files found.

I have tried downloading and reinstalling the SFS Extractor but this makes no difference.

The Il2 install I am using continues to run with no problems.

Does anyone know how to fix this, or what might be causing the problem?

You just need to update the fileslist.txt for the extractor

There are a few fileslist.txt around you will need to search them out
or you could write the file name and proper string into the list you have so the extractor can locate the missing file from the list

Many thanks, I found a new filelist at SAS that works like a charm.

AAA filelist is very out of date though, not even 4.09 compatible.
