Have a mod request for a German 88 Flat Gun.
We have the Flak 88's, what we need now is the German 88 Flat Gun
and a 155mm artillery pieces. They would be a very welcome item to use in missions building

If that's what it is, it would be a great thing to have in the game.

it is really just an German 88 Flak Gun, only this 88 was used just as a artillery piece, just another ame for it. Instead of being used for flack, used as artillery piece

EDIT: while I answered you, you quickly posted links. I knew 88 guns were used for flak and anti-tanks but didn't know that germans had also 88 specially designed for artillery. Is there really big modifications between 88 'Flat' and 88 flaks ?

If I well understood, you need a new object in IL2: an artillery 88... Why not, it would be a new target ;o) :twisted:

my bad, it was used both as a flack gun and artillery piece, I guess what I am really rquesting is to make the 88 fire as an artiller piece and not just as a flack gun. Sorry for the mistake gentlemen. Was watching History Channel and they called it a flat gun.

Ah, ok.

It really would be nice to have such mod as the germans did use them quite a lot.

I place these guns missons a lot.What I have found if set any where
near the front they will blast ground targets.Really at some distance I may add.

When planes show up they then shoot at the planes. When Blue or German
planes get in the fight they hold their fire.
When all the planes leave the area they return to ground targets.

Use your FMB and watch.
