Hello,

Can someone please help me to understand some of the selections available under 'Properties; Compatibility' for IL2setup.exe? - here are the selections and explanations:

Compatibility ["XP SP-2" is this the correct choice, or Windows 7? I am running Win7 64]

Run 256 colors [vs palette – same thing?]
Run in 640 x 480 - "Try this setting if the graphical user interface appears jagged or is rendered improperly.
Disable desktop composition Turns off transparency and other advanced display features. Choose this setting if window movement appears erratic or you notice other display problems."

I recently used the 'Run in 640 x 480' selection as I was experiencing some tearing, jagged renderings along the screen edge or as I shifted view, and it did sove this problem.

you might forget the IL2setup.exe for a moment or forever....

P.S. Just had a quick look - I used to use this little tool to: IL2 Shturmovik Stab Version 6.3
