Here it its, it uses the new wrapper.dll filestructure but will work even if your old files are still in the files folder:

The fps was low because of hundreds of invisible runway parts which made the surface smoother but killed gameplay, so my advice is to pay attention when takeoff and taxiing, I had no problems while testing. Feedback welcomed!

Many thanks Istvan...these maps have always been "fps hogs" near certain airfields, so this is a welcome fix!

Maybe in 4.09m?
I told Ian about this problem a while ago and he said that it cannot be fixed.

that may also be the problem with the default Midway map....as I noticed when i altered it....the three strips have many invisible runway sections...(how DO they lay them out when they cannot be seen???)
and only one strip worked anyway so the rest were redundant

I never messed with the invisible sections...but got another runway working (with one icon at one end only of each of the two long strips)

so Midway could also be improved by reducing the sections too...

Do they lay out with visible sections first...then change them to invisible later???

Yup, lay out green parking plate how you want. When your done, select all of the plates so the icons are red. then click on each one at a time turning its icon yellow then scrolling with your "home" and "end" keys on your keyboard to select blank plate. Work through until all are blank. Seems you can only change one at a time, but it works.

Hint: After you've made it all invisible, always have the blank plate turned off in display. It is VERY easy to accidentally move one of these while editing the airfield and not notice it's happened, causing landing gear to break off and other bumps and such.

Edit: oh, and only ever dead flat ground. Wink

Good mod - and well spotted vpMedia. Does this correct the problem for all versions of Norway ie the snowy one, your own and default?
