I noticed that with this mode when moving in the z-axis, the game will first take you to the front of the cockpit and then start zooming, and vice versa. I would much rather have an option to choose wether I want the z-axis to zoom or to move.

This is because when, for example, I'm looking at 90deg and want to zoom-in, the game will first move me sideways to the front of the cockpit. I find that very annoying.

The author of the 6DOF mod has said that he will make the zoom an option in the next version. Meanwhile you can alter the Z axis response in your TrackIR profile to limit your movements forward... or turn the axis off completely. I'm sure the next version of this will be great.
