Has anyone tried to mod things like ships wakes, or ship artillery muzzle flash? Also is there any chance of making the planes smoke look better?

there is a way to make smoke look better on planes. one day i was fiddling(playing) with conf.ini and i got a very realistic form of smoke.

Effects=2 in the conf.ini

Yeah, but Effects=2 will reduce frame rates. It's fine for movie making, but not so good for combat.
