Have no problem with my 1946, sound (other than the generally crappy sound of the IL2 series) and my Buttkicker...

I'm wondering if they cleaned up the sounds in 1946 and got rid of a lot of the low freq bass, the buttkicker needs.

Now I have dug up these quotes from year ago, before the sound mod, on SimHQ... and here you see a lot of people happy with the buttkicker product, but they bellyache and whine a bit about how they think it would be 200% better if the sounds were improved...

So, people who have this product and also have the sound mod, would you say that things have GREATLY improved with the addition of the new sounds??

Yes the product is improved with the new sounds. With more fine tuning of the low level rumbling of engines or more accentuation of the hollow thump sounds of cannons coupled with this devices ability to be tuned to vibrate/shake in concert with low level sounds you end up having a better subjective sense of being there.

So yes the new sounds make what was already a good product better.
