I have Mods version .08 up & working ,can I download Ik-2's 4.09 ontop of it with no worry?

If so NO!
If you want to add it get the 4.09b1m patch from here: (The link is inoperative)
It should be ok to add it but I strongly suggest you make a copy your working copy of IL2 if you have room on your hard drive before you add it, just in case there is a conflict.
