I was wondering if anyone could tell me please, how to incorporate the new spit mk 1 (2.7) with the cannon blisters removed into my perfectly working 2.5 spit, as I would like to keep my sliding canopy :wink:

BTW, I'm using aircraft installer 1.9 if this is of consequence.

3 DOWNLOAD Spitfire v 2.6
4 Open with WinRAR
5 Extract wings files
6 Enjoy Spit I 2.7 with sliding canopy!!!

Yes chears Uther and Alien-12. Uther, sorry-I had read the thread so I should reiterate and ask, do I need the latest AC installer? I am currently running on version 1.9, so if I upgraded to 2.3 would I get CTD's when i load Il-2?

Incidentally on my Spit 2.5 I have the later model Spit canopy, does anybody know how I get the Spit Mk V canopy in the SPit mk1 as well?

First - thanks very much modders for this great plane and the continuing supply of refinements!

Second - To get the sliding canopy, it is necessary to use the Seafire cockpit. There are two cockpit options:

Spitfire V cockpit which is not openable
Seafire cockpit which can be opened

They are mutually exclusive.

If someone builds a new cockpit that somehow integrates the SpitV meshes with the Seafire sliding-hood code, an opening-but-early-war pit may be possible, but it isn't here yet...
