Any help appreciated.
I'm hard on joysticks. I like force feedback. I set the resistance quite high and they wear out.
I wore out 2 Logitech Wingmen in 2 years and I'm almost through with Logitech Force3D Pro in one year. No complaints, it's the way I like to play.
However, I have a perfectly good MS Sidewinder ForceFeedback Pro I was unable to destroy, and I am unable to get the bugger to work with Windows XP Pro.
Now I am a computer dum dum, so if you are willing to help it will need to be step by step, but I'd love to try and wear out my sidewinder.
The sidewinder has a serial plug, for which I have bought a USB adapter. When I plug it in, the computer doesn't recognize it. I understand that somewhere there must be drivers that get this baby running with XP, but I haven't found them. Help me please get my sidewinder back in the air.
