skin expriment use of skinmode
#1

hello, i use the skin mode that comes whit the aaa installer, to change defult skins,

i also do my own skins, i just did a experiment instead off the normal way to extract .tga files whit qmb,
after i have made a skin i just simply saved 4 version of the skin as tga 32 bit, so instead of 8 bit bmp whit less color i have 16,7 Millions (32 BitsPerPixel) tga on some plane in the game whit ut the engine complains about it, it works for some planes, here the problem comes in, coz i haven't done any alpha channels window on some planes will not be transparent,
coz im lazy i wonder if there is a way to see the alpha channels in ps on thos tga files made by qmb
so i can use them as alpha channels layer, instead to do my on ones?

and what caind off alpha channels do the game engine use gray scale or just one color for transparent?

best regards

i use that one, and have done what it says, problem is, u still nead to do indexed bmp 256 clour pix
to let the game convert it to tga, so i just saved my skins as tga whit ut index them and for ex bf109 they look much better in the game, problem is, on like IL2 the window will not be transparent.

when i do the indexed color my skins get pixelrated, btw i use phothoshop, i dont know if there is better program or plug in that does better color convention whit the index colur
