First image looks very much like the Westland Wyvern, which went into service with the Fleet Air Arm in 1946. 127 built. --- but its not the Wyvern. This is.

No its a Martin Baker 5, as in the folks who brought us the ejection seat, As far as I know MB and Escapac were the two major manufacturer for egress systems not including Rusian hardware.

Design for the Westland Wyvern began in the early 40's, so thats a possible naval fighter for the 1946 british - but only if you use the Rolls Royce Eagle powered variant, not the turboprop.

The MB5 could have been in active service by the end of the war if Martin-Baker hadn't been such an outsider in the aircraft industry. It was a serious aeroplane too, easily maintained, and its cockpit layout was recommended by test pilots as a potential standard for single engined fighters.
