Hi I am a n00b and I have been desperately trying to get the patches I need to work to properly play Coops, but so far I have only succesfully installed 4.08m.

When I install 4.09b1m the language of my game switches to Russian so I cant read anything, and then dumps me to desktop shortly there after.

I tried installing the mod switcher, but even that doesnt seem to switch from 4.08m to 4.09b1m.

Can anyone help a n00b in distress?

are you running vista?
if so
uninstall
reinstall,when it ask you which file location delete Program files and replace with Games.
install to 4.08,then do 4.09 get the unified installer. and it should work

Yes I am running Vista, I did not know that would be a problem.

What I do know is I cant run 4.09b1m without major problems.

Vista protects you from yourself by preventing folders in c:\Program Files being overwritten.
Using c:\Games works around this issue since the c:\Games folders are not "protected" in this way.
