X-52 rotary sensitivity for rudder trim
#1

I'm using the rotary near the thumb on an X-52 throttle for my rudder trim. Is there any way or program that can adjust the sensitivity of the rotary? Just a tiny movement and the rudder trim gets adjusted in too large amounts.

Hey there niassogna

here is a link to a program called 'il2joycontrol' which will allow you to adjust the sensitivity all the axis on your joystick, just as you could for pitch, roll, yaw in IL2. It is a must for anyone using an X52 Smile (or any joystick for that matter)

Its a flaw not in your stick's software but in the game engine. Set a RUDDER TRIM NEUTRAL key and press this first on the ground THEN set your trim. The game engine seems to set what it chooses at random as a trim setting when you spawn in. Thereafter the trim will respond one click at a time.
