This new mod has micro freezes when I shoot. I tried every possble solution on my video card and game video selection. I know I can turn some mods off, I went into the files and the directions say put a - in front of what paticular mod you want to turn off, but I need direction doing that also. I am running windows Vista Ultimate, I have 3 gigs of memory,an AGP 1600 ati 512 video card and 150 gigs. Petium 4 .I know. The mod I had before this one worked just fine. Do you think I should go back to it?

Sounds like something you might be able to sort out prior to going backwards. Have you checked with your sound settings and card lately? And how are you flying, DX or OGL, I know for a fact that sound can effect your game playing, keep in touch...

BTW, this probably should be asked in the IL2 support area, just for the future. Because it sounds like it's not a bug in and of it's self

if u can, upgrade your ram, vista is a ram hog, it takes 2GB RAM to run vista.

** well thats what they tell u, but i did see a laptop boot into home premium with only 512mb but thats another story....**

but that would technically only leave 1gb to run everything else.

I am flying open GL and I will check my sound settings. Thank You for all of your inputs. I will let you know what happens.
Can someone guide me on removing that new gun smoke swirl mod. I think that might have something to do with it.
